Slowly, This

When two friends meet in a crowded Manhattan restaurant, the conversation takes an unexpected and intimate turn. Speaking from their experiences as a Japanese American man and an African American man, writers David Mura and Alex Pate share personal and provocative stories that range from reading Fanon to reading Meryl Streep's face. Throughout their dialogue, they provide insights into the complicated issues around race and masculinity. Award winning producer and cinematographer Arthur Jafa (DAUGHTERS OF THE DUST, CROOKLYN) directs this beautifully shot and visually inventive film.
