USS Hawaii Receives Battle Efficiancy Award

(JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii) – Commanding Officer Cmdr. Steve Mack and Chief of the Boat Master Chief Electronics Technician (SS) John Perryman of the Virginia-class submarine USS Hawaii (SSN 776) accept the 2010 Submarine Squadron 1 Battle Efficiency (Battle “E”) award from Capt. Stanley Robertson, commodore, CSS-1 at the submarine piers at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, March 25. The Battle “E” is an award of merit presented to the most proficient ship in each squadron and recognizes sustained superior technical performance and continual combat readiness throughout the year.
