A fall retrospective of nine preserved films by Christine Choy, the pioneering documentarian who spent five decades filming the movements and communities left out of the record.
Third World Newsreel presents the Christine Choy Retrospective: nine preserved and digitized films from a pioneering Asian American documentarian whose camera tracked labor, incarceration, immigration, and liberation for half a century. Oscar-nominated for “Who Killed Vincent Chin?” and honored in the Library of Congress, Choy filmed the stories the record left out. This fall, they return to the screen.
